Happy New Year To All Worx Readers Print E-mail
Saturday, 02 January 2010 07:26
We would like to wish all of our readers and contributors a happy and prosperous New Year. Last year had it's ups and downs for us here at the Big White Worx, but that's the great part about living at Big White- the "downs" ROCK!

Now that we've all taken a little breather over the holiday season, it's time to get writing- and we did plenty of brainstorming over steamy cups of Holiday grog. Stay tuned to the site as we try to get more into the "community living" side of life at Big White. If you have any great ideas for stories, email us and let us know- or even better- write it yourself! Yes, we have a few rules but as long as you keep it reasonably clean (just pretend that your mother will be reading it) and try to encourage rather than discourage- it's your soap box!

Yes, I have just become a volunteer for the Powder Hounds Adaptive Ski Program, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching kids and adults with disabilities to ski!

It was double or nothing at Gigi’s Bistro Lounge where the annual ‘Casino Night’ was held on Friday. The theme for this year’s gambling gala was ‘White’ - a ‘Big White Formal Night’ – culminating in fashionable, fancy threads & frocks from lace table cloth ensembles to flashy white blazers teamed with snazzy ivory-colored sneakers.

Upon entering the lovely Gigi’s – the latest fab spot on the hill had been magnificently transformed into nothing short of the Bellagio – attendees were handed a playing card with the mission of finding four other folks within the house to make up a winning hand. A great way to meet and greet whilst all worked the room in search of four of a kind (or at least a couple of pair) and the winning hand was made up of five lucky punters who managed to meet and greet each other with A Royal Flush!

The WEP’s regain their title as trivia brains of Big White Print E-mail

Over 40 people crammed into Globe this week to take on the regular Trivia Challenge and have some mid week fun.
