This story is about Truth

This story is about Beauty

This story is about Freedom

Above all things... this story is about Love.

On Saturday night – Valentine’s Eve – the doors were open to all lovers and the like for an eve of romance and raunch at the gorgeous Madame Gigi’s very own Moulin Rouge.

It was not unlike stepping into a cabaret in some magnifique bohemian club in the Montmarte Quarter of Paris. A full house of courtesans and can-canners, top hats, tails, bejeweled busty beauties and femme fatale living out their fantasies in frills, fishnets and feathers. One poor, unsuspecting boa found

its way down the trouser leg of a certain gentleman (who shall remain nameless for fear of recrimination OK Mr Editor??) whilst girls swooned as its pink feathered tip dangled from the perpetrator’s zip! What can I say? It all happens at the Moulin!

It was of no trouble to me that Kidman was a no-show and although it would have been nice to bump into Ewan McGregor the girls’ feathers quivered when fine French fop Philippe (a.k.a. Al) arrived. French kisses all round.

As well as the usual delicious fare at Gigi’s a special menu to ‘celebrate love’ was on offer to indulge the epicurean senses. Designed to ‘share’ with your Valentine I found the depth of my love truly tested when I had to handover half of my absolutely mouth-watering Chateaubriand steak. Our truly tasty main was followed by an exquisite citrus Panna Cotta that was deliciously zesty and refreshingly light (although heavy enough to see the most modestly bound corsets loosened).

Upon moving into the bar where the cabaret was in full swing, the kissing booth had a lineup as long as the Snow Ghost on a Saturday and bids were flying high to see certain men of the Moulin bare their brawn (nice tatts Nooner!) the music played to a chorus line of high kicks that saw top-hats topple!

If you arrived at Gigi’s with love on your mind and managed to leave with love on your arm then the magic of Madame Gigi’s Moulin Rouge played its role.

Love? Above all things I believe in love! Love is like oxygen. Love is a many-splendored thing, love lifts us up where we belong, all you need is love! (And legs that look good in fishnets! Thanks Charity!!)
