Last Sunday night was the first of the monthly Telus Park Rail Jam series presented by the Village Rider for the 2009/10 season. Registration started at 1pm by the activities desk in the Villlage Centre Mall and the jam kicked off at 6pm at the bottom of the park. The features included the freshly built up black tube, down rail, and up flat to flat down box. The turn out for the night was great, with almost synchronized sounds of “ooh”, “aaah” and “whoa!!” as the 35 guys and 7 girls stomped (and stacked) tonnes of sick tricks. There were plenty of prizes to be won by participating riders and skiers consisting of cash, ipods and other items from Village Rider.

Ultimately it was a great night for all involved and apart from a few bumps and bruises, everyone boarded away unscathed. The next Telus Park Rail Jam is scheduled for January 16 so don’t miss it!
